One of the world’s best fisheries for not one but two different marlin. During the fall white marlin appear in impressive numbers. While the smallest of all the marlin, they are among the most acrobatic and strongest, a perfect light tackle adversary. As the fall turns into winter, smaller blue marlin begin to appear. Most are 150 to 250 pounds, again perfect for those who like to fight what many consider the strongest of all the marlin on light line. Larger blues that run over 400, sometimes 500 pounds start to appear as the fall turns into winter, with the first quarter of the year best for heftier trophies. Sailfish, tuna, wahoo and dorado are also present to add additional flavor to an already attractive line-up. Private boats are utilized for all the charters. They range from 31' to over 50’, all kept in superb shape, and all outfitted with top quality trolling gear, typically from 30 to 80 lb. test. Captains and mates often have long histories of success in these waters, and have years of experience in the many tournaments held in these waters.
