Sailfish - Crocodile Bay - Costa Rica
Tremendous variety fishing in southern Costa Rica. Just a few years old, Croc Bay has established a great reputation for rewarding fishing and exceptional hospitality. Winter months are peak for billfish, with abundant numbers of sails as well as both blue and black marlin. Offshore, light-tackle favorites like wahoo, tuna and dorado are also plentiful. Inshore species, from trophy roosterfish to snapper, jack, grouper, even snook are available season round both inside the protected bays as well as several rivers flowing into the bay. Crocodile Bay has a range of sportfishing boats, from 28’ and 33’ offshore cruisers to 23’ to 26’ center consoles. They even have a pair of flats skiffs for going up the shallow river mouths in search of snook and
corvina. Air-conditioned rooms all feature spacious, tiled private bathrooms, and electricity, balcony and or tiled terrace plus unique wood carvings from local craftsman. Tropical flower and shrub gardens grace the extensive grounds, with a lengthy white sand beach just a short walk away. Take a relaxing dip in the large pool, or sooth tired muscles in the hot tub, then enjoy a well-prepared meal or drink in the main lodge.
