Tarpon - Rain Goddess - Nicarragua
The advantages of the Rain Goddess houseboat are many. It can cruise up and down the local rivers, moving to where fishing is hot, anchoring in protected, pristine areas close to the next
day's adventure. Because of its small capacity, the daily schedules can be flexible and more personalized than a larger lodge. Wake up early, fish long hours or just take it easy-it’s up to each party. Within easy reach of the Rain Goddess are opportunities for tarpon and snook in the salt, and freshwater exotics in the rivers. Tarpon run about 75 pounds for the most part. Because
the environment is fairly open, many anglers opt for tackle not much heavier than used for freshwater Muskie. In the freshwater, bring your bass gear, because Machaca, Mojarra and Guapote are much like our largemouth-they like the same habitat, the same structure, and usually, the same lures or flies.
The Rain Goddess accommodates up to 10 anglers in comfort. Three single and three double occupancy rooms are all
air-conditioned and well appointed, with centralized bathroom and shower facilities close at hand. There’s two outside decks for relaxing, and a nicely appointed dining room where the boat’s chef prepares outstanding meals.
