Argentina Dorado - Argentina
For many, the freshwater dorado is the strongest fish swimming in
sweet water. It’s powerful physique is built from years living in the current laced rapids of the Parana River and it’s many tributaries. Aggressive and acrobatic, even a diminutive dorado is bulldog strong, never giving up until it’s totally exhausted. Anglers who have taken dorado with casting gear know its powerful jaws are capable of straightening out strong hooks or crushing a less than solid wood plug. And fly rodders exchange tales of screaming reels and magnificent leaps, and if luck is good, a golden sided trophy in hand for a quick photo. The regions of Argentina where dorado are plentiful are also full of wildlife, from a variety of birds to the elusive jaguar. It’s a total experience, memorable well beyond just the simple, yet satisfying act of taking one of the real exotic trophies found in the world.
