Northern Pike - Bolton Lake Lodge - Manitoba
A favorite for anglers seeking satisfying fishing at very reasonable rates. Big northern pike and walleyes are abundant in Bolton’s sparkling, unpressured waters. Northern in the 12-to 15-pound range are plentiful, with 20 pounders available throughout the summer season. Annually, Bolton conservatively produces over 300 Master Angler Award pike, marking it one of the most fertile trophy fisheries in Manitoba. Miles of rocky shoreline combined with several rivers flowing into and out of the lake make for a prolific walleye habitat. Most are in the two- to four-pound range, though there’s always an opportunity for larger trophies. The lake’s cold waters form the foundation for Bolton’s lake trout population. Early and late season weeks will find trout close to the surface, with mid-season’s best trout bets will be in the deeper holes. For 2002, Bolton completely rebuilt their camp, making an already comfortable facility even more inviting. Cabins accommodate from two to eight guests each, all with private bathrooms and hot water showers, electricity and heat standard. In larger cabins, a central sitting room is also included. The main lodge overlooks the lakefront and has both comfortable lounge area as well as dining room where well prepared meals are enjoyed.
