Manitoba’s Gods Lake, one of Canada’s most famous fisheries, is home waters to Elk Island Lodge. Extensive weed beds and protected bays produce exciting pike fishing for pike that consistently run well in excess of
15 pounds. Anglers consistently land impressive numbers of pike-there
are more than a handful of reports noting 75 plus fish days per boat, many times even triple digit totals. Walleye are also abundant on Gods’ extensive waters, averaging three pounds, but frequently exceeding five to six pounds. As a unique bonus, spend a day on the nearby Gods River, the province’s finest for colorful brook trout. Elk’s newly renovated, modern cabins hold two to eight guests, each unit featuring full bathroom and hot water showers, plus heat and electricity The spacious main lodge welcomes guests home with hearty meals and plenty of space to relax after a good day on the water.
