Trout - Diana Lake Lodge - Quebec
For brook trout, it’s hard to imagine a better fishery. Situated in northern Quebec, Diana Lake Lodge offers extraordinary numbers of feisty brookies. Most anglers land 25 to 30, one- to three-pound brookies a day with four- to six-pounders taken regularly These brookies are eager to attack a variety of flies, from dries to nymphs and streamers, plus small spinning lures. From mid-August through mid-September, colorful, orange-bellied Arctic char are also present, with 10-to 15-pounders encountered often. Insulated, platform tents accommodate two anglers each, all with heat and electricity. The permanent main lodge serves superb meals and offers a warm, inviting haven after a day of remarkable fishing.
