Trout - Willow Creek Lodge - Alaska
Unheralded Willow Creek Lodge may be the best spot in Alaska for taking an outsize rainbow. Anglers fish a wide network of small, clear streams where sight fishing for giant "bows" is available season round. Five- to eight-pounders are typical, with each season bringing hundreds in the double digits, including a few that run close to 20 pounds. Strong runs of Pacific salmon add variety, from giant kings to acrobatic silvers, plus good populations of dolly varden and grayling. Choose between Willow’s inviting main lodge or unique helicopter-insert float trips that allow the ultimate yet comfortable Alaskan experience. Only six anglers are accommodated at one time so personal attention and flexibility are always the standard, not the exception.
